Image Size: This is usually already ok soo yeah don't change anything unless you have to. Format: I would recommend using JPEG or PNG I use a Folder on my Desktop so I find my stuff quickly. Output File: You can change this Directory. Click on File in the Taskbar on the Top of your SFM Window. You have to go through the whole list until you see the one you need. Easy just right click demo1 on the Animation Set Editor and select Set Skin. Example: You want a blu ubercharged Demo.
You can also change the skin of certain models. Import a beer bottle and place it in his hands.Ĥ. Switch to the rotate and rotate his head. Choose the Move cursor and drag the head up. Select "bip_head" which you can find under Body. We want the demo to have a looong neck and have his head tilted looking at a beer.
Now you can move the different parts of the Demomans body by selecting them on the Anitmation Set Editor and then using the different Cursors to Rotate or Move them. If you click on the little "+" left to the "demo 1" in the Animation Set Editor you can find a small list. Now that you have the position you can start moving his bodyparts. Use the different cursors to either Move or Rotate the demo the way you want.ģ. Add shift to the mix and the demoman will go to any surface you drag him to. If you drag the box you can move him around. Click and hold the left mouse button on the box below the demoman. The demoman in the gameworld will be shown with his bones and root. Select "demo 1" that you can see on the Animation Set Editor. Now that we have a Demoman in the Gameworld let's position him. (To find the Demoman or other TF2 Classes search for "hwm")Ģ. To move around you have to hold the left mouse button on the Gameworld and use W,A,S,D to move around and Move your Mouse to look around. (There should be standing camera 1 on your Camerabox) Now click "New Camera" and boom you're done. Click on the little arrow of the Camerabox and go to Change Scene Camera. This will make everything to work with but will make it temporarily uglier. And deselect Progressive Refinment and Ambient Occulusion. Now that you loaded the map right click again and select "Render Settings." Just right click the Black upper screen. Graph Editor: Keep your Hands away from that! (After you clicked your Timeline will be green) You have to use this one if you want to interact in the Gameworld so go ahead click it. Those 3 are the Game editors: Clip,Motion and Graph Editor. First well check the 3 Icons on the upper left. The Timeline features a ton of options but we'll skip all that. You can use this one to modify the location of the Bones. Select: The "default cursor" which is used to select stuff.:D you will rarely use it.Ģ. These are the different types of Cursors inside the Gameworld each one with a certain purpose:ġ. Left: Select, Move, Rotate, and Screen. You need those if you work with animations/sequences etc. Middle: Play, Record, Next- and Previous Clip, Frame these are used to navigate through the Timeline of your Gameworld. Camerabox: This Icon creates Cameras inside the Gameworld. We will only use the Camerabox therefore you don't need the Scope and the Options. This is basically the screen where you'll see the Models,Particles etc. Upper part with: Primary, Secondary Viewport & History: We will start with the redmarked objects.
Now that you Created a New Project File your Window should look like this: Recent Session: Will show you your last Project so you don't have to search it.Ģ. Framerate: This option is irrelevant to you (Unless you make Animations etc.) I have a custom Folder for it on my desktop. Directory: Change it to whatever you like.
